Tommy Campbell
Pastor
Born and raised in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Aldine High School. After High School Bro. Campbell enlisted in the United States Air Force. Spending six years in the service of his country where upon he received an honorable discharge. During his time in the Air Force he married the love of his life. The former Charlotte Garney. The have three sons. While working at a valve company in Houston, Texas he felt the call of God on his life. On September 13, 1970 Bro. Campbell surrendered his life to full time service for his Lord and Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. After that decision he felt led of the Lord to leave Texas and move to Greenville, South Carolina whereby he studied for the ministry at Bob Jones University, earning a degree in Bible with the minor in Missions
After leaving the university he moved to Texas City, Texas where he became the pastor of Trinity Baptist Church. Under his leadership the church started a Christian School and had a worldwide missions program. He has pastored two other churches in succeeding years. In Idaho Falls, Idaho he started the largest jail ministry in the state.
Presently he Pastors Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Texas. His specialty is expository preaching.
Grace Baptist Church is a church with a warm and generous heart. The presence of the Holy Spirit exalting the Lord Jesus Christ in something that is obviously felt there.

I have the privilege of leading the Music at Grace Baptist Church. My wife Mary and I joined Grace in 1999 a short time later the pastor asked me to consider leading the music, and that scared me to death. That's when God gave me my life's verse Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me.
We have taught Sunday School, led youth groups, worked with missions and Missionaries over the last 27 years , also they have been the best years of my life. I Started at Grace in August of 1999. I have been teaching in some capacity for the past 27 years. Have been in the Choir and involved in other ministries since then as well. I absolutley love our church family, our Pastor and his Wife. Praying that the Lord will continue to let me serve Him until He comes back or takes me home!
